Baltimore Folk Music Society


This year, the Baltimore Folk Music Society is proud to participate again in Free Fall Baltimore by offering two Wednesday American Contra and Square dance evenings absolutely FREE.

Join us for an evening of participatory American square & contra dance, accompanied by live music. No experience or partner needed all dances are taught! Family-friendly event we have dancers of all ages! Lesson offered at 7:30 pm, but feel free to join in at any time during the evening!

Workshops for new dancers will be held at 7:30 PM. Beginners are encouraged to attend. The dance is from 8:00 PM until 10:30 PM with a break about halfway through. Don't know what Contra dance is? See our Contra dance FAQs and these videos.
