The Greater Washington Ceili Club offers continuing adult Irish social dancing classes (set & ceili dances) on Thursday evenings in Silver Spring, MD. The Spring Season will run March 13 - May 15; 7-8pm for basics, 8-9:30pm continuers. The 10 week season cost is $50, try a class for free, then register & pay at class. Classes are held at Pinecrest Local Park, 301 St. Lawrence St. in Silver Spring (just outside I-495 near Blair HS). Water provided, comfortable clothes & smooth-soled shoes recommended. 1:30 to 3:30 at the Church of the Nativity and Holy Comforter, 419 Cedarcroft Rd, Baltimore, MD 21212. $5 donation, Students free. We meet to dance to music from around the world, primarily Eastern Europe, the Balkans and the Middle East. We mix dances that can be done "on sight" with those that are more challenging. We teach as needed. If you are new to this type of dancing or have been at it for years please come dance with us. No partners needed.
