Swallowtail

Dance in the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park to a lively mix of folk waltzes with a few other couples dances, including Tango, Hambo, Swing, and Polka. Admission is $13, $5 for full-time students with ID. No partner required.

The waltz lesson begins at 2:45 p.m. with a half-hour of beginner instruction and 15 minutes for an intermediate or advanced move. Dancing follows until 6 p.m.

If you are a music professional, an amateur musician, or interested in banjo and music history, you will find worthwhile music that will challenge your skills and expand your repertiore. Colonial Market Fair

The Washington Revels Jubilee Voices return to help the Colonial Market Fair celebrate its 10-year anniversary! Journey through the spirituals, shouts, hollers, and work songs that bound together African American communities in the 18th and early-19th Centuries, interwoven with history, stories, poetry, and audience participation along the way.
