Baltimore Folk Music Society

Monday Night English Country Dances

BFMS is having in-person events again! Being mindful of the need to protect those most at risk of infection from Covid-19, we are requiring effective mask wearing, proof of vaccination and online ticket purchasing (allows contact tracing) for many events. We intend to adjust as the situation changes. We look forward to seeing you in-person soon!

The Baltimore Folk Music Society presents English Country Dancing from 8:00 p.m to 10:30 p.m. on 2nd and 4th Mondays at the Church of the Nativity. 6112 York Rd. Baltimore, MD 21212. Admission is $10 for members, $15 for nonmembers, Under 21 and full-time students with IDs: $7 for members, $10 for nonmembers. Beginners are always welcome. All dances are taught.

English Country Dancing is joyous, lively movement to elegant music in a friendly, informal setting. The figures are simple, and each dance is taught and walked through. New dancers are always welcome. Come alone or with a friend. These events are sponsored in part by a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council.

Please help support our Callers and Musicians

BFMS encourages our members to donate to musicians and callers who had their BFMS sponsored gigs cancelled due to coronavirus. We are no longer accepting donations through our website, but CDSS has established a website for donations to musicians and callers.
